Local shops in the nearby village include convenience stores, a hardware store and a pharmacy. Wellow also has a family run ice-cream parlour, Carlo’s Ices (with a long local history, set up over a 100 years ago), New Forest Lavender gardens and tea rooms are close by.
Local produce is widely available in the surrounding towns and villages.
The Commoner’s Larder offers a delivery service, providing forest-bred meat and local produce. Breakfast boxes,BBQ boxes and Sunday roast boxes are available.
Alternatively, The Farmer’s Butcher has a new farm shop just down the road, again offering a wide variety of local goods and delivery.
There are a number of supermarkets in the locality including Waitrose and Aldi in Romsey (approx 5 miles), Co-op in Fordingbridge (11 miles), Morrisons, Asda and Lidl in Totton (approx 5 miles), Tesco and Sainsbury’s in Salisbury (approx 13 miles).
